Questions about K2QR
Choose the right code, understand its limits, and know what happens after you print.
Create a website codeFree and lifetime access
- What does K2QR cost?
- Start free, or pay $39 USD once for lifetime access. There is no subscription.
- What can I make for free?
- You can keep up to 5 dynamic codes. Each new free code lasts 30 days from creation. Static codes and Wi-Fi require lifetime access. Both plans include visual customization and downloads without a watermark.
- Do expired codes free up my allowance?
- Expired and disabled codes still count. There is no monthly reset. The free allowance counts the codes you keep, including expired ones.
- What does lifetime include?
- Lifetime includes all 15 code types, static codes, new dynamic codes without a scheduled expiry, destination editing, and scan statistics for your own codes.
- Will buying lifetime reactivate an expired code?
- Buying lifetime keeps existing expiry dates. It does not revive expired codes.
Making and using your codes
- What is the difference between static and dynamic codes?
- A static code stores its content directly in the printed symbol. A dynamic code uses a K2QR address to reach the saved content. Free access includes dynamic codes; lifetime includes both.
- Can I change a destination after printing?
- With lifetime access, you can edit a saved dynamic destination. Its printed K2QR address stays the same, so you do not need to replace the printed code. Static codes cannot be changed after printing.
- Do I need to sign in?
- You can prepare a code before signing in. Verify your email before downloading. Your saved codes belong to that account, so use the same email when you return.
- Which download format should I use?
- Choose a PNG image for screens and documents, or an SVG graphic that scales for print. Both downloads use the same saved code. Neither has a watermark.
- Can I add my colors and logo?
- Yes. Customize the colors, shape, and logo in the generator. Keep strong contrast and a clear margin around the code. Try the final download on a phone before printing a batch.
Your account and data
- Does sharing a code share my account?
- No. Anyone with the code can read the content it shares. That does not give access to your account, other private files, or scan statistics. Publish a file explicitly if you want a code to share it.
- How do I request my data?
- Sign in and request an export through Support. We confirm that the request is yours before sharing your account data. Account deletion and deactivation are not currently available.
- Where can I get help?
- Support has sign-in guidance you can read without an account. Sign in to open a private ticket or read replies about your codes, files, or purchase.
What can your code share?
Choose from 15 types. Each opens a form for the details you want to share.
- Website link
- Text
- Phone call
- Text message
- Contact card
- Wi-Fi networkLifetime required
- PDF document
- App store link
- Image link
- Video link
- Social profile
- Calendar event
- Stored data
Image, video, document, and social codes link to content you already host. Stored data makes a QR symbol, not a linear barcode.
